In Italy, female travelers can visit a weaving school in Perugia and learn about hand-weaving traditions during a private demonstration of the celebrated woven art. Laboratorio Giuditta Brozzetti was established in 1921 and has taught the ancient tradition of frame hand weaving on antique looms to four generations of young women utilizing the tried-and-true methods used in the Middle Ages and original antique looms.
